Hello

My budget is around 400.00 CAD for new cpu/mob
I already purchased the rest of computer. I only need cpu/mob
I will be doing light gaming, surfing, movies and photoshop. I have purchased
a crudial 120g ssd drive, 1 gig asus video card, 16 gigs g-skill ram, 650 watt c/m psu
c/m advance 11 case and a closed water loop

I will do abit of overclocking down the road

Hard to say. You've already got RAM; will it run on any of the MBs you've linked? You didn't say what RAM you selected.....


May want to stick with the Haswell items as it's newer technology and the MB may have forward compatibility whereas the Z77 is at the end of the cycle. And check to see that your "closed water loop" will have adapters for whatever you choose.

Just looking for opinions on what
is a solid good motherboard and the best setup within
these price ranges. I'am leaning towards the Gigabyte Z87X-D3H
board
