So Which is the most suggest one would you say? Thank you for taking the time to sort all that out, I don't wanna cheap out on ram Either, I am looking for performance, But damn that is some cheap ram...Is it good enough for say? Cause i wouldn't mind spending more than that, The current ram i have i would consider Trash, I did also have fault cause my cpu amd drivers i accidently uninstalled Sigh... Not used to having a cpu with a GPU embedded in it so i made a mistake there and caused alot of my own errors. So which do you think is best? I noticed how u said this Choice Etc Etc, I just am unsure of what to choose!! I am really liking 2 and 3

@ Anthrax50551, I am not sure what to say to your question about the ram I use being inexpensive. All DDR3 ram right now to me is cheap compared to what I paid for fast DDR2 ram.

Of the sticks I HAVE already, I even went to the trouble to say how far they would overclock to. So performance? Hale yes and in spades as far as I am concerned.

I know this internet thing is all over the world and that cultures read english different than those who think in it everyday and use it everyday. So maybe what I wrote did not say that as far as I was concerned you could not buy better ram. You could buy more expensive ram. You could buy ram with tall heatspreaders that get in the way of air coolers. You could buy faster ram than the next kit I am going to buy but I don't see a need for ram that is just faster. Which one forum member has asked me to get a kit of and ship to him when it comes. But I don't use Corsair unless they give it to me. I have no need of Crucial. Kingston does as they please when making ram sticks. So knowing and feeling as I do...there are few real choices left and Gskil has been good to and for me. About it.

Thank you very much, I am going to order a set of that G.Skill ram right now I heard good things about it, so you think its wise to only go with 8GB? and not more, Sometimes i am running alot of things at once and might find use for more Ram but im looking for speed.

Humh...

Anthrax50551:
Don't have that ram. Likely will not since ram looks is not anything to me. How it works no matter the brand does matter to me. Strokes for folks.

The ram you linked is surely priced well. Specs seem good for the speed.

New Egg reviewer #3 >> Cons: it not a low profile ram just keep that in mind with CPU coolers

NewEgg reviewer #4 >> Also for my cooler, they barely offer enough clearance and weren't as low of a profile as I thought, based on the reviews.

I have my doubts that most people can effectively use 16gigs of ram. Notice that is my opinion. I see people getting more and more ram. Probably just because it is cheap. That always moves people whether the real results make the extra ram a good thing.

I do think more and more ram makes a system less over-clockable. It has been so for a long time and expect it is today still. So if one has a hefty overclock in mind, I think I would get enough ram but not go wild in loading the IMC of the processor down with ram that produces no real results.

In certain situations without any thought to overclocking, I could see 16gigs might help with certain heavy duty editting situations but beyond that it feels like they have more ram because they can and maybe not because it is a great improvement for the money spent. IMO. YMMV.

Thank you for all your insight in regards to that my system barely uses 20-40% it seems of the ram as it is so im not going to upgrade that, I think i will go with the sniper DDR3 or one of the ones u have picked, still deciding, looks dont matter much to me but i like to show off the looks of the inside sometimes so maybe it will make my cable management look a little better ahaha

I am going for it! Hi all. Thanks in advance to the wealth of knowledge I have found here I am approx 1 week into an OC learning curve. I just upgraded my rig to a FX-6100 on an Asrock 880GM-LE. Steep but interesting learning curve. I just PASSED a 2h5m PRIME test @ 4.5Ghz, CPUv1.5250 NBv1.1250 A previous 90min PRIME Test @ 4.5Ghz ended with an ERROR: ILLEGAL SUMOUT using CPUv 1.5125 & CPU NB 1.1750v. One of the cores spiked above 70C & shut down the worker. Surprisingly system remained stable. This time temps stayed between 58C - 61C, reaching 65C once for approx 2mins. Plus I'm able to use the system while PRIMING without notice or adversely impacting temperature. I'm so pleased I want to know what else I mean it can do lol

FYI: I like the GUI in OCCT & the ability to set cut off limits on each core as well as the CPU TIN. I prefer the test abort than overheat CPU and/or reboot unexpectedly. Also I'd rather not physically monitor each test configuration likely to push temps to the limit. Once I suspect a configuration will work I test it again in PRIME & let OCCT monitor/record PRIME stress test. I find their temps are within 1 degree if not the same as HWMonitor most of the time and always within 3. Plus OCCT updates more often and records changes less than 1 degree.

PRIME fluctuates CPU between 1.4Ghz - 6.3Ghz using the APM. However my normal use and/or opening every resource intensive program on the system simultaneously/consecutively keeps the CPU nicely around 4.5Ghz. I will still compare it with 4.4Ghz. I reached these levels of stability manipulating only CPU Multiplier, CPUv DRAM and CPU NBv. I hope that the more experienced minds here can advise other settings that would be more effective?

The following are PRIME benchmarks stock & current respectively and results from 2h5m PRIME test. Let me know if you would like any further info omitted.

Do the results include 2 hours of Prime 95 running in Blend mode and the temps not exceeding 70c on cpu and 60c on the package aKa core temps? If it passes that, there is a good chance you could call it stable otherwise it is sitll only a moon shot for giggles. .
