I'm attempting my first overclock, and I've currently overclocked my AMD A8-3850m to 3.13GHz and I'm trying overclock my RAM (GSkill X Series 1866 8GB x2) as well, but after a run of Memtest I've only got a bad memory address. How can I work this out? The voltage seems fine, and the now overclocked APU can handle it, so whats wrong, and how can I fix it? My MOBO is the ASUS f1-a75m-pro with EZ/Advanced Mode (I'm using advanced mode).

==EDIT==
Just tried to boot to linux mint 13, from hdd uefi and live disc, but both fail...
I reverted back to my BIOS profile before overclocking, and it works fine. Cause is overclocking incorrectly, don't know how to fix it.

Here are the stats for memtest 86 and my BIOS:

Have your raised the memory voltage yet?

What sort of timings are you running, and which particular kit is it?

RAM Timings And Voltage

I haven't touched the RAM voltage, I didn't think I had to, as it is set to "Auto".
The RAM timings, according to my BIOS:

CAS Lantency:
JEDEC: 11
EXT #1: 9
EXT #2: 9

RAS to CAS:
JEDEC: 11
EXT#1: 10
EXT #2: 10

RAS Precharge:
JEDEC: 11
EXT#1: 9
EXT #2: 9

Just figured I'd mention it, but by "boot failure" I mean that it boots to hard drive, and from there it drops to an initfsram terminal, saying that the '/' drive took to long to respond.

Since you are running the memory out of spec you might want to try and raise the voltage to see if that helps.

If the sticks are stock at 1.5v, manually input something like 1.6v to see if they boot properly.

By reducing the APU frequency to 106 I've got a stable overclock with the RAM voltage at 1.65v. I suspect something to do with the APU Multiplier, I'll keep messing with that.
