Hello, i just wanna overclock my CPU on laptop, dont ask why, dont tell me that its not worth it, dont talk about heat lol cause all that just annoys, its not my first laptop and i know that overclocking gives a lot of performance to the laptop.

ANYWAY:
i have custom modded bios and i set already some settings to get SETFSB to work, (at first it froze my laptop, now i manage to get sliders to work, just cant set anything).
My CPU is T6600 2.2ghz Core 2 Duo. it is possible to oc atleast 2,5ghz (saw also 3ghz done pretty stable).

THE ISSUE: the sliders on SETFSB move but after i hit SET, it constantly comes back at where it was. i have no idea whats the problem :/

here is video to show what im talking about:

(sorry u cant see the mouse, but u get the picture..)

and here is my bios screenshots with all the available usable options i have here. i took those in hope u guys will give me advises what to tweak to get SETFSB to work.

I cant give you an absolute answer because i have never fiddled around with a laptop before. However, the problem might have something to do with the "Custom" BIOS you said you installed. Its easy to have something go wrong in bare-hand programs like that (clos to nothing to catch it if something isnt right) This is my opinion. It might not be getting enough Voltage to run at higher speeds, who know. If this isnt any help, sorry. Just thought i'd "endorse" this so to speak.

ty, well the custom bios is same configuration as an regular bios. Custom bios simply allows to see hidden menus :) i already disabled a few things according to one forum to let setfsb to work, but the tutorial was for the laptop 5739G (mine is 5738G) its a similar laptop, so i tought i give it a shot to follow the tutorial. well it helped just a little, system wont crash now when i move the sliders as before bios settings modification, but now i still cant save the clocks :/

My best bet would be to try to message the person whose video you watched and ask him about it. Sounds obvious but i got alot of good information about my computer simply by asking on youtube. Btw, whats so different about one digit differeance in the serial? lol sorry just curious, different year maybe?
