Performance upgrade

If i where to upgrade my current build with:

MAXIMUS VII FORMULA
intel i7 4790k
ASUS Radeon R9 290X 4GB Direct CU II (already in order)

Would get a big performance increase compared to my current build?

Depends on what your doing with the machine and what monitor you have.
Yes graphics will be better but 290x is made for either 2-3 monitors or higher resolutions.
Your new computer should play everything on max graphics for a while. (At 1080p)

I have ordered BenQ XL2411Z LED, as i think 27 will be too big for a desktop, 24 is the perfect size for gaming (for me atleast)
