My friend has this board and wants to upgrade from Heka. I noticed the bios from Jan states that it supports new CPU's, but it doesn't show the new bios 3503 on the list yet.

Does anyone know if this is support for FX chips or just some more Phenom II X6's?

M4A78T-E BIOS 3503
"1. Improve system stability.
2. Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at:
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
3. Enhace compatibility with some USB device."

The Asus CPU support list for that board does not list any FX CPUs, unless it's outdated but I doubt it because it's what the new bios listing refers you to. I would assume the FX CPUs will not be compatible.

I figured the same, but the compatibility list doesn't list this bios with any of the associated CPU's. It was probably never updated. Plus the update was in January, so there is reason to believe it would be for the FX series.
