Greetings!

I'm upgrading to a i5 3570k + ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard. I'm hoping to overclock it to over 4.5Ghz with my H110 watercooler. The only component I need to complete the build is RAM. I'm uncertain of all the types of RAM that are compatible with the motherboard.

The specs for the Extreme 4 states that it supports DDR3-2800(O.C.), DDR3-2400 (O.C.), DDR3-2200(O.C.), DDR3-2133 (O.C.), DDR3-1866 (O.C.), DDR3-1600, DDR3-1333, and DDR3-1066.

Does this mean that the highest rated RAM I can use with the MB is DDR3-1600 without memory overclocking? Since RAM is so cheap I figure why not just get DDR3-1866 up to DDR3-220 rated RAM without having to overclock it. Would this be feasible?

Thanks for any input!
