I have a pair of Geil PC3200 2x512mb that says 2.5-6-3-3 and want to buy another exact pair to reach at least 2GB. The closest I get is a pair of Geil 2.5-8-4-4. They are going into an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard. From what I remember, back in the day, there were problems using different timings, but these will both be CAS 2.5 which shouldn't be a problem right? I am pretty sure they can both run at 2.5-8-4-4 correct? I just need some clarification before I purchase them off eBay, thanks!

You can set both kits to 2.5-4-4 and it's like 95% chances it will work.
On the other hand older hardware is so cheap then better idea would be to get newer generation cpu+board+ RAM based on at least DDR2.

Thanks! And yea I know, but it's not for me, I am just adding a little boost for $8 for this person.
