Hi,
I've been having some problems with setting proper timing for my RAM.
I have 6GB Corsair RAM kit (TR3X6G1333C9) 1333MHz which I am trying to combine with Gigabyte X58A-UD3R mobo and i7 950 processor.
A lot has been written about this mobo and so far I was able to resolve most of its issues but I still have problem with RAM. The [auto] settings are plain wrong and crash any and all OS.
I was able to get a (relatively) stable system after I played with the RAM timing but I still get some memory errors when using all 3 modules. I have tried all modules separately and they work OK. I am not attempting to do any overclocking, I just want some working RAM at factory standard (which auto settings can't provide for some reason). The errors occur on the memory on third slot (Channel C), Memtest86+ reporing 2 wrong bits on several addresses (regardless of module used). I got this kind of error on roughly the same addresses for all combinations of modules across the slots with wrong timing.
So here are my settings, I'd appreciate any tips that will make it work possibly without killing performance more than necessary.
Info from manufacturer: 1333MHz, 9-9-9-24, 1.5V
My most stable settings:
1333MHz at 1.5V
CAS latency time: 9
tRCD: 9
tRP: 9
tRAS: 24
tRC: 34
tRRD: 4
tWTR: 4
tWR: 8
tWTP: 19
tWL: 7
tRFC: 60
tRTP: 4
tFAW: 16
Command rate: 1T
B2B CAS delay: none
Round trip latency: 60, 61, 63 (for channels A, B, C respectively)
The auto mode came up with 1066MHz, 8-8-8-20 and tRC=27.
Thanks
