The Chimp Challenge* should be starting in just a few weeks. Would somebody post up the info we need to know?

Are we folding for the t32monkeys folding handle?

Do we need a passkey just for that handle again?

Does the passkey need to be "conditioned" so it can earn bonus points?

What are we racing to this year, and what teams are in it?

Any rule changes?

*for new members:

The Chimp Challenge is the big team folding race, held every year, between some of the top folding teams.

The winning team has the honor of displaying the famous Jaded Monkey pic on their website. The last place team is given the dreadful monkey's paw <shudder!>.

It all starts on Noon Pacific Daylight Time, on the fifth of May, and finishes when the last team has crossed the finish line (folded a certain number of points).

Caching work units, or folding for any team after yours has finished the race, is strictly against the rules.

The purpose of the race is not to win the race only, but to bring some fun, competition, and buzz for Folding@Home, into the FAH world. The Chimp Challenge has undoubtedly done all three, in spades. Sometimes, a bit too much, admittedly. However, it *is* usually, a lot of fun. Special stats are prepared just for it, and the most competitive teams make plans months in advance: Evga, Overclockers.net, Hardware Canucks and TSC!Russia, to name a few.

Guest folders (aka "Ringers") are quite welcome, and may join your team, at any point in the race. Part of the fun, actually.

The Great Chimp Challenge can be a lot of fun - but don't take it too seriously. It can be a divisive issue, as [H]ardApes learned the [H]ard way.

David is the captain for Team 32 this year. I suggest we let him handle this or delegate as he sees fit.

The info was finalised very recently, I'm about to post up a thread.
