I was looking at my BIOS settings and saw the the Control is set to Enabled and CPU Smart Fan mode was set to Auto. I tabed through the setting for the mode settings and saw Auto, Voltage and PWM, so I changed it from Auto to PWM and CPU core temps droped about 4-5c.
So take a look in your BIOS and see if you have some type of Smart fan control and set it to PWM.

Depends on the mobo, if you have PWM fans and other factors.

It's probably due to the fact that your PWM fans (if on your CPU cooler, you sure?) are now at 100% since you didn't set any temp control.

So, thanks, but there is more to fannage magic.
