Just wanted to update mine some from earlier. If you can count it as that. I got my vcore lowered from 1.43 to 1.4 and altered cpunb to 2600 and ht to 2400. Could not hit 4.7 though no matter what vcore. All stable with core temps about 45c

When I had FX8120 then it was running at about that:

But I was using it mainly for memory tests finishing at about DDR3-3046 with memory on air. There were also results like DDR3-2500+ CL7 with 3050+ CPU/NB and 5.65GHz+ cpu clock ( cpu on ss, memory on air ). Actually memory is clocking better on this platform than on Intel.
Now FX8120 is running in my brother's pc @4.2GHz 1.25V, 4x2GB Dominators GT@1866 8-9-8-24 ~1.55V ( just because they are looking good on CHV ;) ).

I've got my 960T unlocked. All 6 cores run at 3.9 Ghz for my daily OC. CPU-NB set to 2600, HTT set to 2200. Not bad for a 110 dollar processor.

I'll echo this. We've similar setups and nothing we can do can get a stable 4.7 despite good temps.

Tweaking the default CPUNB upto 2600 from 2200 though was a bit of a revelation. The system is a lot more stable and fluid at 2600/2400 (CPUNB/ HT).

My 24/7 clock is,- CPU: 4.1Ghz, CPU-NB 2880Mhz, Memory: 1480Mhz

That's: 221Mhz x18.5, vCore 1.42v or 1.44v with LLC.

I have not Prime-95 Tested it for 8 hours or any of that, but i have been running it at this speed and more for a while and it has never complained.

But to give you an idea of temps i have run Prime-95 for 25 minutes.

Ambient room temp: 24c, CPU: 63c, Cores: 50c,
I could get it to run cooler by turning my case fans up, but you know how it is, silence is golden. :)

My CPU history is: Intel Pentium II, Intel Pentium III, Intel Pentuim 4 HT Skt 478, AMD Athlon XP 3200+, AMD Athlon x2 5200+, Intel Core Duo Quad Q9300, AMD Phenom II x6 1090T.

The Thuban is by far my favorite CPU, but it's getting on a bit now and i know it will be an agonising time when it comes to replace it, all the others is was easy to do, some more than others, but not this one, i'm already sweating over it.

Your Prime worker failed man, its not stable at that OC.

Small update from me to reflect current setup.

Athlon 64 X2 Toledo-(stock 2.2GHz) [email protected]@1.5V 24/7 overclock (when I keep it overclocked) (1.35V stock) (3.0GHz max OC for benching so far)
DFI LanParty nF4 SLI-DR Expert
Corsair PC3200XL (TCCD)
Hitachi 80GB drive
PSU: Corsair TX750, HX520, or VX550
GPU: nVidia 9800GT

I tried for 3GHz on a whim, and to my surprise it worked and runs totally stable. This chip runs surprisingly cool, I'm at 22-25°C at idle usually, max temp under load is 52°C usually. And I think this is on a bad mount (got one core that's running a few degrees hotter all the time), so with a remount it would probably run even cooler.

So I have had my 8320 for about two weeks now and I am loving it sofar. I had the system up and folding @ 4.62Ghz all day with the GPU folding @ 850Mhz.

Pump manually set at 80% and fans on auto speed.

My goal here was to achieve highest overclock, but keep temps under 50C.Current oc running @ 4.4g /1.35v on v-core.Plenty of headroom for higher overclock, but no need. This is my main pc,but I also game on this rig.Frame rate stays at 60fps,which is limited by monitor, but perfect for my gaming needs.

Had my 965 oc @ 3.8g on 1.37v, 24/7 365, for 2 years.More head room for higher oc,but I'm a wuss.I hate high temps.Rather run it cooler,than faster :)
