Upgrade - CPU/Mobo/Ram suggestions.

Hello folks. Gathered some money and decided it was time for a little change (aka i didn't experiment with new hardware for some months

When considering new hardware and suggestions, you guys are the right folks to ask.

So here goes.

• Intel E8500 @ 4000 MHz • CORSAIR H50 • Gigabyte X48-DS4 • WD 640GB 6400AAKS, SAMSUNG F3 1TB • GEFORCE GTX460 1GB • 2 x 2 GB CORSAIR DHX 800MHZ • Corsair HX620 PSU • Antec Nine Hundred Case •

this is my current system. Everything working fine, almost all games working as intended and stuff but i think i'm finally ready to make the transition to ddr3 and stuff that goes with it.

I was looking at this:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

not sure about the ram (4gb for starters) and the mobo to go with it. I've no idea about the various amd chipsets currently available, what mobo is the best bang for the buck (gonna do the ocing ofc

So in other words, i need a recommendation for a mobo & ram and was wondering what's the approx speed difference gonna be when i finally go to the new proc, ram and stuff?

The UD5 is a really good board.

@psionic98 - Hey m8. here is the web site that is in native croatian language but translated to english (you can see where the search thing is at the top) - it searches all the shops for the item you enter, shops in croatia that is. Can't really say about the budget cause the prices here are sky rocketed really. You just tell me what would you buy and then i'll convert it to USD so you can see the difference. Thanx in advance.

@Volumetrik - note taken on those 2 items m8. Would the H50 heatsink fit well on that board (cause of ram and such)?

Rissien, if you are going to get into the H line of cooler from corsair, better go with the H70. To answer to your question, yes it will fit.

I already have the H50 from corsair, i'm just gonna transfer it to the new rig from the old one.

I agree with Volumetrik on the motherboard. The 890FX chipset is very popular and you can't go wrong with Gigabyte.
