WiFi finder

What is a WiFi finder? I am thinking that someone could tap into a wireless connection/network that is not theirs?

The ones I've seen are just devices that tell you if there's a WiFi network in the area or not. They don't actually connect or hack in or anything. The best hacking tool for wireless is still a laptop and some knowledge.

Not completely. If you travel a lot it can tell you whether it's worth it to break out your laptop to get a connection. They expensive ones are handy for WAP surveying and such.

Windows XP makes it pretty darn easy. I have 4 connections in my neighborhood I can see right now. For some reason people leave them unsecured.
