Hey there,

I have an AsRock Z87m OC Formula with G.Skill 1600mhz ram blocks and G3258 Pentium cpu.

My question is, is my CPU restricting me to 1333mhz?

With the XMP profil loaded, and even manually set 1600mhz in the bios, the ram sticks to 1333mhz.

Why is this?

So, before we go down this road with you... what have you tried so far that you have not mentioned?

Have you tried using different sticks of ram?

Well, let's see if other ram works for some odd reason...

Can you post bios screenshots of what you are changing in the bios as well as some CPUz screenshots (main, memory and SPD tabs please).
