Announcing the 1st Annual OCF Rosetta Team Event – The Rosie RAC Harvest!

Come one, come all! The OCF Rosetta Team needs YOU!  Free hardware prizes!
In the spirit of fall, and all that it brings, it gives me great pleasure to announce our 1st Annual Team Event “The Rosie RAC Harvest”!  If you aren’t familiar with the distributed computing project, Rosetta@Home, you can find details about the project and our Overclockers Rosetta team in this previous article.

The event is slated to kick off on November 15th.

The event will be points based, and there are plenty of great prizes up for grabs! The more work units you crunch, the more chance you’ll have of walking away with some free hardware.

Everyone is welcome to participate, but you’ll need to register in our forums to post in the sign-up thread! Heck, anyone can participate – feel free to pass on the word to anyone with a PC who may be interested!

The project uses the BOINC program to process work units.  Got BOINC?

– If not, then you’re going to need to go HERE to download BOINC to your PC. Need help? Just sign into the forums and send me a PM.

– If so, then connect to the Rosetta Project, pick Overclockers.com as your team and you’re ready to rock n’ roll!

Come on over to the SIGN UP THREAD and get yourself registered! You must be registered in the sign up thread  to participate in the contest, and to be eligible for the prize draw at the end.

See you there!
