CES 2024 – MSI shares new Monitors, Nvidia Super cards, new AIO, and the Project Zero ecosystem.

We were busy in MSI’s large ballroom as well with them showing off a slew of new and updated items. We saw the new Nvidia Super cards ( in white, another with reference-like cooling), several new monitors including high-frequency OLEDs, power supplies, AIO cooling, magnetic fans, chassis, laptops, their handheld gaming device, and the project zero ecosystem. Among all of the items are several CES innovation award winners.

Next, is MSI’s Project Zero was front and center showing off three motherboards (Z790, B760, and B650-based) each with all of the connects on the back of the motherboards. With these are unique chassis that a wider to support the connectivity poking out of the back. The chassis have plenty of room behind them to hide the cables. I have to admit, it’s a clean look, and perhaps it will catch on. We do know MSI shared the CAD files to several chassis makers so we should see additional compatibility down the road. We also may do a build with it and see how it shakes out in enthusiasts, hands.

Nvidia’s big announcement was over the mid-cycle Super cards (4070 Super, 4070 Ti Super, and 4080 Super) until we see the next-gen  5000 series (Blackwell), reportedly in 4Q of this year. MSI also has a robust-looking RTX 4080 Super Expert that looks much closer to a reference model, however, it has much more robust cooling and looks a lot cooler.

Following the video cards are several models with varying features, including flat and curved up to a whopping 49″. The higher-end QD OLED models offer their OLED Care 2.0 technology that helps to further prevent screen burn-in by automatically detecting and reducing the luminance of specific static objects. The new QD-LEDs are also cooled passively (some are actively cooled) by a layer of graphene to help dissipate the heat of the panel. From high frequency to high quality, there are several good-looking new monitors with high refresh rates in the lineup.

For storage, MSI showed off the Spatium NVMe M.2 enclosure. this20 Gbps Type-C enclosure sports an IP68 rating so it’s good underwater for a short time. Additionally, on display were different iterations of the Saptium cooler for SSDs, including the latest version that’s water cooled.

Last but not least is an image dump that covers mice, laptops, AIO, Claw Gaming handheld, magnetically connected fans, and more!
