On our last day at CES, Friday, we had a chance to see the show floor. We saw so many things, from 3D printers to AI-based grills, and a whole lot more. In the images below, we’ll see new items/ideas from Sony, TCL, Hisense, Samsung, John Deer, Honda, Hyundai, Volkswagon, Mercedes, Goodyear, and many other upstart companies just trying to make their way into the market.
There are around 150 pictures we’ve put into the slideshow below. We hope you’ll find it as interesting and awe-inspiring as we do.
Joe started writing around 2010 for Overclockers.com covering the latest news and reviews that include video cards, motherboards, storage and processors. In 2018, he went ‘pro’ writing for Anandtech.com covering news and motherboards. Eventually, he landed at Tom’s Hardware where he wrote news, covered graphic card reviews, and currently writes motherboard reviews. If you can’t find him benchmarking and gathering data, Joe can be found working on his website (Overclockers.com), supporting his two kids in athletics, hanging out with his wife catching up on Game of Thrones, watching sports (Go Browns/Guardians/Cavs/Buckeyes!), or playing PUBG on PC.
One of the last places we visited at CES 2024 (due to being sick, I had to cancel the next day’s appointments) was Enermax. They showed off some exciting new ATX 3.1 power supplies, cool new AIOs (one of which sports a removable LCD screen), and several new chassis that sport USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, including one with skinned with the best game ever, PUBG.
On the last day we were at CES, we had a chance to hit the show floor to see all the cool things CES 2023 offers. While the name of the game is automation and AI, there were a lot of awesome exhibits. From robotics to ICs, to 8K monitors and more, it was here.
It’s that time of year again, folks! CES is back and is close to 100% (from pre-COVID days). The team at Overclockers.com will be there to cover all the cool things our partners have to offer. Although only one of us is attending again this year, we have around a dozen meetings scheduled across three days, while on the fourth (Friday), we’ll hit the convention center floor and bring you some fantastic items from there as well.
The clear TV thing was interesting........ but, it's about as practical as one of those fireplaces you can see from two rooms, lol. Like... neat, but............ I can't think of good reasons to have a transparent TV at this moment, lol.
EDIT: That fishtank looking thing... was cool. The stats transposed on it was really neat....
I can see the transparent TV having use in a window, behind the glass. In a standard TV maybe if they have a "normal" LCD layer on the back that can be blacked out. But as a traditional TV, meh.
I've watched a few videos on it & it doesn't seem to fully blackout the view through it. That would be a problem for me, seeing the wallpaper behind the TV would be the only thing I would focus on. Kind of like a lamp reflecting on the screen, it's draws my attention in a bad way.
I think the #1 plus to this panel is when it's off. New TVs are getting bigger & bigger and they are very ugly sitting in a family room when not in use. This new tech lets it disappear when it's off.
