yeah so i never really got around to fixing it but i want those 5 gigs back. back when i didnt know jack about pcs and how to fix them we took the pc to a "pro" and he had to take out the original HP P233 hd and make my 13 gig a 8 gig...what he didnt mention was that it turned it into 8 gigs...i flashed my bios and it didnt fix it...how do i fix it?

13 gig only reads 8gig?

Try going to the drive manufacturers website and downloading any utility software for the drive that will enable you to do a low level format.
