WOW! Very nice project there u cooked up. Very sexy!! hehe

Now about those Rotron fans; Im going to be getting around 3 of those this week. The only difference is that they are round 162mm (Better cause i can pop a 162mm fan grill on that baby and not get my fingers choped off). I got them for $5 each off this guy at eBay. Ive seen a few people sell those fans at eBay. Very nice deals too. Look at them blades on the fans, looks like it should be used as a meat grinder.

Here are the specs on the fan:
http://www.comairrotron.com/dcfans/images/img157.gif"]
Size: 6.75" dia x 2.00" deep (171.5mm x 50.8mm)
Air Flow: 205 to 235 CFM
Voltage: 12, 24, & 48 VDC
Operating Temperature Range: -10°C to +70°C
Storage Temperature Range: -40°C to +85°C
Feathered Edge™ for Lower Noise
Ball Bearings
12" Leadwires, 22 AWG, or Terminals
Weight: 1.84 Lbs. (.84 Kg)

Not too shabby for a $5 fan, eh? See ya next time folks!

what the heck do you do to hook this thing to your computer ducting i hope would look funny standing on top of your case almost like a deformed chimney

its actually part of a radiator test rig to measure the air side pressure drop across the radiator

for HIGH flows I use a Sthil leaf blower
(handles high backpressure much better than the axial fans)

be cool

I think that I my have to get one of these:

Your Own Wind Tunnel

This is the fan they use whenever they need a typhoon in a movie scene. Not. Okay, but it does move some major air, 235CFM to be exact. This baby is brand new and is manufactured by Comair Rotron. Yep, it has terminals and it is ball bearing. The model number is JQ12B4. Operates on 12VDC and draws 2.26 amps. Plug it in and hold the dog, cause every bit of the air in the room is fixin to change. You have to have one of two things to operate this fan-a fan guard, or some more fingers. Measures 6.75"x5.92"x2.00" deep.
FAN1041....$8.95
