best combination ?(2 cpu/ 2 mobo)

Hi everyone, as you can notice this is my first post...

I own two cpus (E8600 & Q9550) and two motherboards (ASUS P5E & ASUS P5Q DELUXE).

I'm wondering which would be the best combination of those 4 components?
Take into account that I wont have any crossfire (advantage of the X38 of having 2X16 PCIE) setup. Except from the detail mentioned before what are the pros and contras of the boards?
I also plan to overclock both systems, so in some way my question would also be; which board overclock best (or is more suitable for quad or dual core overclock)

I would pair the E8600 with the P5E X38 and the Q9550 with the P5Q Deluxe. The quads seem to overclock better with the P45 chipset MB's.
