Broken Motherboard?

But it is okay!!

That board is about... 2-3 years old. It was originally a spider platform, and then over the years turned into a Frankenstein of different parts upgrading to keep up to to date.

I was due for a new system anyways is what I'm trying to say :p

I went ahead and purchased that Asus crosshair IV. I'm a huge overclocker, grabbed the new Phenom II x6 at 3.2GHz, with some DDR3 RAM running at 1600 :)

eventually I'll try to find that other motherboard on ebay or something to keep as another gaming machine.

Thank you all for your replies!! I will definitely be more involved in the community :)

Probably a damaged processor, bad caps or bad MOSFET.

(If a MOSFET, it's likely visibly fried!)

(Bad caps in the PSU can cause failure of a component on the motherboard!)

Do any of the MOSFETs look chalky or have a bubbly spot?
(If any of the 2 things I mentioned just one line above, that would be a fried MOSFET!)
