Can't seem to overclock my system

Hi, i cant seem to oc past 3.06 ghz for some reason. Ive tried lowering my ram to 800 and changing the voltages etc but it never posts past 3.06 ghz.

Ive borrowed different psu's and ram from friends but it doesnt seem to make any difference. Is my Cpu locked or is it the motherboard or something?? Any help would be great

have you tried completely erasing CMOS and just start your overclock over. see if its works. its kinda like a hard reset for the motherboad ya know?

maybe you are achieving a greater speed from your overclock but its just not showing your correct speed. have you tried overclocking than testing your speed with CPU-Z?

Sorry for the long delay!! Yes i have, the problem is that it wont post. after i save to bios it just resets 3 or 4 times, then i have to revert to default settings.

I had it up to 3.06 but that was putting the vcore up to 1.4v, i put it that high just to see if it would go anywhere beyond 3ghz. I don't know whether its something in bios preventing me or a hardware issue.

Check your ram freq. ratio is 1:1 to start out with.

um.... well the problem is that combo....board cant go beyond FSB 1343 so you highest going to be around 3.08 for you ......

use a 800 or 1033 processor...
