Dark in Counter-Strike

is there any way to turn up the gamma for geforce 2mx video card? cuz when my friend is playing cs, the screen usually gets very very dark, is there a way to solve the problem?
also he maxed out the brightness on monitor n also in CS settings

There should be an option in the NVidia control panel under colour settings - which is usally in the monitor part... I'm not using a system with an NVidia card atm; so I cant tell you where it is exactly... but there IS something to adjust the colour and gamma in the control panel.

mine is located in the "nview display mode" then ?device setting" then "color correction"

There is an option to change the gamma in the CS GUI under video settings. Also, you can enter the console command " Gamma x", but I believe you need to restart the game for changes to take effect
