Do I need a firewall ?

OK I head some people say if I have a router (it comes with build in firewall) I dont need a firewall .. is that ture ? or I do need a firewall ?

Well if you get a router with a built in firewall then a second firewall won't do you much good. It will just filter the packets that have been filtered. e.g. The router will allow packets on port 80 through and so will your firewall on your computer. It's basically overkill.

Can anyone confrim that Linksys (4 port, 2.4ghz) wireless router has a built in firewall ?

I have the wired version of that router and it works great. That is all you need (plus a solid AV app), but as a firewall you don't need anything else.

OK cool thanks, time to uninstall ZoneAlarm Pro to free up memory that f...er is using.

Definitely, it's totally useless with the router. Get rid of it pronto. Besides, a hardware based one is going to be better than ZoneAlarm.
