dual monitor (extended desktop)

What exactly do I need to get and configure (other than two same size monitors) ??? Like right now I have a 4 mb video card, can i add in another pci video card and hook up another 20" monitor, plug in and start up windows and it will work??

Monitors dont need to be the same size.

With win XP its pretty much that easy (you have to turn the other monitor on, under properties and set its location relative to the other). Search in google for dual monitor and whatever operating system you are running and you should be able to find more info.
