Flashing through cmd window?

can you flash your MB BIOS through a cmd in windows 2k? My mobo is having troubles booting from floppy that's why I'm asking.

if you're using that epox board in your sig, you can get a proggy from epox called "magic flash"

ftp://ftp.epox.com/motherboard/support/BIOS/magicflash-2-11-03.zip

you can use this to easily flash bios from within windows. i've used it, it does work.

naw, my computer runs flawlessly , it's my parents ECS k7zvm (it was 26 bucks shipped)...

I've always heard it's really bad to flash the BIOS from Windows. Is this not true or have things just gotten better so that it's no longer a problem?
