how are Coolmax power supplies?

It definetly looks quality, but I suppose looks can be devieving.

I have not heard of coolmax but they could definetly a rebadge.

The UL file number on many of theirs traces to ATNG - decent build quality from what I've been able to tell though I've had no experience with them.

How can you tell anything about the build quality from the pictures, at least anything showing good quality (i.e., the cheesy fan speed knob and grill?)

www.silentpcreview.com has a review of a 300W fanless CoolMax, and it's not that positive.

I've seen pics of the innards of ATNG units (traced the UL file number of the other Newegg Coolmax units) - not sure where from, but I'm reasonably confident in my prior observations. As I mentioned, I've had no experience with them, so one must take my comments with a grain of salt. Not sure the fanless ones are the same manufacturer.
