Just bought all of this for my roommates girlfriend to play WoW. I don't play WoW but my other roommate plays warhammer online, so I built it with that in mind.

Did this all in 2 hours
My budget was $600
I spent $730 wish shipping.

I haven't checked the details of the card (I'm sure the brand is good), but TigerDirect has the GTX+ for $119 after MIR.

If you use live.com 12% cash back, that'd be $103.

$5 more for the WD6400AAKS - $5 for 2x the storage and the same series drive.

Hope those fans don't really run at 29~ Db like they say in the specs. ><

I would not, not, not get 2GB RAM. 4GB Patriot Viper DDR2 800 RAM $15 after mail in rebate/live.com cash back going through Tigerdirect. (Plus a 2GB USB drive which is always handy. Probably won't use the 3D mark software, but whatever.)

Normally I'd recommend overclocking and saving all that jazz, but since you're clearly not going to be doing that (which saves money on a board, cooler, etc, anyway) I'll just mention that after live.com cash back, the E8400 is $6.50~ less at Tigerdirect.

By the way, just double checked the live.com cash back. It's gone down to 10%. Still, a nice amount of savings.

Actually those Rosewill fans aren't too bad for $5. I've used a number of the in inexpensive builds and not had any problems with them. I have 4 of them in my X2 4800 system and they are quieter than the 88cfm Slipstreams in my main system and move almost as much air. They are made of cheap plastic, but mine have lasted over 2 years now.
