Note: For the Nvidia cards i did not pick the absolute cheapest card, but i picked up the cheapest card that was made by a mainstream company, that many people would buy.....

PLEASE! Do not buy a Geforce 4 MX these are jsut Geforce2s and ive ranked them accordingly....

The Geforce3 Ti200 and the Radeon 8500/LE are amazing deals...you get so much video card for the money its freaking amazing.....

Geforce3s and Ti500s are ripoffs in my mind...look at the rest of the prices....8500 retail for 160$ as fast as the Ti500....if you want Nvidia get the Ti200 or the Ti4400


I recommend these cards when image quality/performance is the scale and not raw speed:

50-75$ Radeon32mb DDR
75-120$ Radeon 7500
120-150$Radeon 8500LE
150-200$ Radeon8500
200-300$ Geforce4 Ti4400
300$+Geforce4 Ti4600

Anyone buying an Ultra off of price watch at this point in time would be conpletely stupid paying 200+ dollars for last years technology when you cn get a Ti200 or 8500LE that for almost half the price.....

Ti500 is now less than 60$ away from the retail 8500 in price

WHOOOOW MAN!!!! That´s the answer I was looking for!!!! The real big bang for the buck!!! I´´ve seen Radeon LE 32mb DDRam for 39-40 bucks!!! (Strange, same price than ve and 7000´s)
1) If it´s decloacked we can "Re-clock" it to where it´s as far as possible!!!
2)Hyper-Z can be enabled!!! (How? )

I think you should switch the Radeon LE and the Radeon 7000. The 7000 is just a renamed Radeon VE, which has the 64bit DDR memory bus,not at all like the radeon LE which is a de-clocked Radeon DDR with hyper Z disabled (easy enogh to enable)

Hyper-z can be enabled using Radeon Tweaker and Rage3D.com tweaker, or hacking your registry manually.....and its the same speed as the GTS with better image quality....

the rage plus is based on the Rage 128 chipset and the Rage Fury Pro is on the Rage 128 Pro chipset and has VIVO, so the Rage Fury Pro is much faster and has VIVO, thats the only diff

Radeon Tweaker and Rage3d tweaker can enable HyperZ of any radeon chipset? Mean, not just le, but ve..? Or just le becouse ve don´t have the feature?...

I´´m trying to find out a 183mhz mem one... Usually the 64mb ones... Tyred about reading huff...

It will only enable it on the LE.

The VE has a totally different GPU then all the rest! It is much smaller and is actually missing the ability to do anything more except you can up the clock for the mem and core, but thats it.

The LE you can actully run the exact same as the regular Radeon.

update: added Geforce4 MX460 to the mix, looks to be much better than a Geforce2 Ultra but a little worse than a Ti200....dont know about the price yet but if it comes out around 100$ then Ati will be in trouble....

well i dont know because the MX420 is listed there for 99$ and the MX440 is listed for 150$ so no, i think its just the initial price which will go down i expect to see it for like 130$ in a month or so

Hm? Why is the GF4 MX 420/440/460 worst than a GF2Ti200? Aren´´t all them 200mhz ddram 6.4gb bandwidth (more or less)... Shouldn´s the 4 chipset be better than 2?

(Dam, lost the Radeon 39 LE budget. My friend was just going to buy it for me and ship to Brazil and it dissapeared! :-( )

Its better then the gf2 ti's but not as good as a gf3 ti200,the only reason really is the core and the lack of directx8 support.
