Old Heatsinks

Me and my friend scraped these two big heatsinks out this old mainframe, I want to see if I can use them to cool my system. Can I?

I dont see why you wouldnt be able to if you knew what u were doing.

You can mod it to cool your GFX, or cut them up into squares and use'm as ramsinks or mosfet sinks.......

How thick is the base on that HS?...

That would work perfectly on a gfx.....the P4 HS i modded's base was a bit thicker. Just drill 2 holes and slap it in your card...hehehe

you can also put them onto your South bridge. and even north bridge.

and using it for your GFX card is a really good idea too.
