RESTARTING PROBLEM??

OK why is it when I restart my computer that sometimes my video signal never getspicked up?? I mean I restart and the moniter shows no signal frm teh videocard. Then I power off then power on and it works fine. WHat the hell?? IT ahs started happening ever since I installed powerstrip which I recently just took off

What motherboard?
Sometimes clearing the cmos will fix it.
