Not likely. They're probably just clearing the shelves of factory RMA'ed units.

wasnt it just in the USA that they werent allowed to sell it anymore?
because NCIX is a canadian company..

You are correct, but the link is for NCIX in the US with quantity of units located in Washington and NY.

Not that I know of. Nothing is stated on the manufacturer's site. That's a risk on NCIX to sell those if there are stock leftover or RMA's but technically they shouldn't be selling them to us in the USofA.

The information on the web site is contradictory.
========================================
Availability:
In Stock
This item is in stock and will ship as soon as possible.
Usually ships in 4-5 business days to allow time for stock transfer.
------------------------------------------------
Washington 105
New York 23
Total 128
------------------------------------------------
Sorry, we've SOLD OUT of this item at the Surprise Sale price.
Please watch for more Surprise Sales in the future.
========================================

Was there actually any in stock yesterday? Was there a sale yesterday causing them to all be all sold?

This information may be old. The sudden depletion of stock may have happened when people rushed to buy up the remaining stock two months ago when Swiftech announced they were stopping any more U.S. sales. The item remains on the web site in hopes that things will be resolved. Eventually if nothing changes then the item will be removed. BTW, since there is 0 remaining in stock you are not allowed to buy it anyways.

MisterEd, what they're saying is that the special price is no longer available, so the normal price applies now.

Elsewhere someone said that the H220 was on sale for $129.99 at NCIX-US through September 25th. Since they are now out of stock we will have to wait to see if any more will be available in the future. Maybe this is old stock that Swiftech is quietly allowing to be sold off. The ban may still apply to new production since the ban went into affect.

Swiftech is only banning the U.S. sales to avoid litigation with Asetek. If Swiftech were to continue selling in the U.S. Asetek might force the matter and get a court injunction stopping sales even outside the U.S.

Not only here....
but what we should actually do is write mails to Asetek expressing our displeasure over their patent-trolling... it is "rectangular with rounded corners" all over again :mad:
You mean Asetek was probably aware of patents like this? Note this patent expired because the required maintenance fees were not paid.

They could sell it in the USA because they added one piece that Asetek did not have on their AIOs. Swiftech installed a fill-port on the radiator thus changing the product completely. Also, if the issue is about the pump then Swiftech one upped Asetek by having the pump be pwm controlled and runs at 6 watts (not 1.25 watts).

Or if Swiftech wants to sell the H220 and H320 in the USA, all they have to do is not fill up the unit and provide a bottle or two to have the end user fill it up or "create" a DIY kit like Alphacool for the H220 and H320.

people do often over think problems...

People do often make simple things very problematic. With these kits chances are the radiator could be shoulder to shoulder. Priming and bleeding can be a pain at times for even experienced water coolers so imagine novices.
