I manually edited in the refresh rates lines myself. My monitor works fine at the same and higer refresh rates on my winXP box.

Im thinking it might be the crappy i810 integrated graphics, since I had this problem on radhat 8 too.

Maybe a cheap PCI graphics card is the solution then.
