What sampling rate to set

For an SB Audigy XGamer with Creative 5.1 speakers? Default was 44.1 I think, and it can go to 42 or something and up to 96. Which will give best quality, which can the speakers handle?

Default is 44.1 because that's regular CD sample rate. In best case situations that is the most you will get. If you play DVD's it should autoset to 48KHz.

In anycase, The Audigy doesn't really do more than 44.1 output. If the sample rate is more than 44.1 it just dithers down to 44.1.
