I was just given an older Thermaltake Xaser II case. But before I pull my ASUS A8N5X socket 939 motherboard out of my smaler case. I would like to know ifi it will fit.
Or do I need to modify.

any advise would be great.:)

Thanks for your reply
I also got a surprisingly quick (less than 1hour) reply from Thermaltake...

I see that you are running an Opteron on a A8N-SLI, Where did you get the BIOS patch?

I didn't. Never needed one. When I upgraded from my single-core 3700+ I just dropped in the Opty and turned it on. The motherboard and WinXP recognized everything and it was done. BIOS revision is 1014 I believe, which came on the board. Never felt the need to re-flash it to anything newer as this revision has everything I really need.

??? Cool, I was under the impression that that the ASUS A8N5X (what I have) and the
A8N-SLI required a BIOS up grade to run an Opteron.
Shows how much I know......
