i forgot where i saw the guide. i have a drawing that i would like to cut on my window. its a guy with a sword. i tried once making a jordan logo but, i wasnt able to pull it off. the curves caused me a lot of mistakes. im using just a dremel. any ideas? better yet, got a guide i can follow?

If you're doing it with a dremel, the only real advise I can give you is to take your time. When you get impatient, that's when you will make mistakes. You don't want to cut all the way through the metal at first. Don't press too hard. Just put a groove in it, this will act as a guide and make the following passes easier. Keep going around and the wheel will eventually cut through. Once again, take your time.

I think he wants to cut the picture into the plexiglass not cut the picture on the metal panel. Not sure if this is what you meant but here's a guide to window etching. http://www.systemcooling.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=85
If you actually want to cut the picture through the panel here's the guide. http://www.jesder.com/

You'll probably want some etching bits for your dremel if you're etching. Here's something you might think about getting although you can try to find them elsewhere if you want. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2065741584 It has etching bits to carve into the window and other bits to clean up what you do. Plus it's only $5.50 with shipping included.

If you want to cut it into the panel then just use cutting disks and bits that can grind and sand.

You can also try the forums over at www.pheaton.com. We tend to specialize in some crazy mods over there, and Jesder posts there a lot.

I have a very intricate Dragon design I'm cutting out of the side panel (almost a year doing it, but been too damn lazy:rolleyes: )
