If you are not in the market for the monster 7950/7970 (Tahiti) series or the lower end 7750/7770 series (Cape Verde), AMD has a market segment to share with you in their mid-classed Pitcarin, which is comprised of the 7870 and 7850. Today we get a chance to look at a card from Sapphire, the HD 7870 GHz Edition.
Today we will be looking at the big brother of AMD’s Cape Verde architecture, the HD 7770. This time its HIS that was kind enough to send a sample to be punished by our review staff. The HIS HD 7770 GHz Edition comes in with more shaders and a much higher clock speed (1GHz, hence the name!) than its little brother the HIS HD 7750. Let’s take a more detailed look at the card and see just how much difference it makes in these mainstream based cards.
Gigabyte brought the G1-Killer gaming series to the community early 2011 focusing on gaming features specifically in it’s design. Both the G1.Sniper and G.Assassin variants seemed to have become quick favorites with the avid gamers out there. In this review we will be looking at the X79 version of the G1 series, the Gigabyte G1.Assassin 2.

What makes this card a bit different from all other 7750’s available on the market, is that it is passively cooled, which brings with it the promise of true silence.
There is a fairly significant gap in the market between the GTX 560 Ti and GTX 570. Answering the call is a new GTX 560 Ti 448 core based on the GTX570/580 core (GF110). Zotac was kind enough to send us a sample of the card to test it. Let’s see how this card does against its little brother and a couple others in its market segment.
