My friend has a 5850 he purchased within the last year. He called me today saying he has had a issue with the card for the last couple days.
He says that it only uses 750mb of his gpu ram instead of the full 1gb. This happens in games and such (for example: deus ex, bf3).
I personally have never heard of this problem and have no idea what to say. I looked over the internet to try and find this issue but results have been poor.
Does anyone know what may have caused this and if there is a way to fix it?
So far, he told me he cleaned out his pc and installed new drivers after getting the problem but it didnt help. Im going to ask him to reseat the card and see if that helps.
