Hello all!

Welcome to my first post on this forum! :)

I have just built my new rig and I cannot seem to get any third party programs to pickup my CPU core operating temperature. Any suggestions?

Here is my build:
-Diablotek Diamond ATX Mid Tower Case
-MSI 890FXA-GD65 Mobo
-Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition (Unlocked to a B55 x4) w/ Cooler Master Gemin II S524 CPU cooler
-8GB 1333Mhz AMD Performance Edition RAM
-MSI R6850 Cyclone Power Edition/OC
-Ultra LSP750 PSU
-Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

You can't read your CPU temp because you've unlocked hidden cores on your processor.

When you do this it disables temperature monitoring for lack of a better explanation.

Is there some sort of thermostat with a digital display that I can buy and install? I really want to be able to monitor my cpu temps in some way.

There are a bunch of options actually:

One of the nicer looking ones:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992004

Something nice but cheaper:

You can browse the other options here:

Most items that read temps like this come with fan controllers also, so you can plug your case fans into them if you like, in order to control their noise.
