What's good overclockers
This is my first build & first few attempts to Overclock ever,
I've always wanted to build my own rig and tweak it out.
I said screw it, It's time!
I won't ramble on how I find OCing interesting till your ears fall off!, So lets dive into it!
But before we do I just have to give a shout-out to BROLLOCKS for all his ongoing assistance & guidance on OCing.

So, What do you guys & gals think?
If I can better my OC's by changing a few parameters and or you have input (ex. RAM timing/Voltages) please do not hesitate to contact me :)
I want to get better at this and learn whatever I can about OCing/Solidifying my OC's from my rig.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my thread!
Peace

I still think my FIXED voltage & IMV voltage & RAM timings are to high...Am I to understand the lower the ram timing the better it is? (ex.7.7.7.20/8.8.8.20 vs 9.9.9.24).
What is the lowest/highest I should set my FIXED & IMV voltages to?
An should my DRAM voltage remain 1.65v throughout my OCing?

Lower RAM timings are preferable, but sometimes you have to sacrifice RAM speeds, so it is a give and take and you need to play with it, same with RAM voltage, tighter and higher speeds need more voltages

The highest I went was between 1.48-1.55 on fixed & imc voltages, I'm still having difficulty getting 4.4 OC stable...sighs..push push push haha

Is your RAM holding you back? Looks to me like if it's underclocked you see good results?

What is IMC voltage anyhow? I have mine set to auto and I know it runs in the red as far as BIOS is concerned.

It would seem that I need to make more adjustments. When I'm @ 4 ghz my temps are MUCH higher @ full load... hmmm

Edit: I was mistaking your idle temps for load :)

Oregondonor: Where are you at as far as a stable OC?
try taking it off of auto and fine tune your voltages?

I'm stable at 4.2GHz with just CPU Voltage set to 1.29375 and everything else set to Auto but running prime95 I'm in the upper 60s.

It's dead week and I need to study so I don't have time right now to play. Spring break is almost here and then I'll play some more. :)
