CPU? oops there it is, mushed in with the GPU

Okay well first, what do you plan on doing with the PC? Gaming? Web Browsing? Is Overclocking in your future?

If you are overclocking, look at a different motherboard, perhaps this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131736

Second if you are overclocking you will want to look into an aftermarket cooler for that CPU as they get hot
The CM Hyper 212 is a decent cheap air cooler
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099but...

It doesn't look like the case you chose is wide enough for it, so you may need to consider a new wider case if considering overclocking.

The RAM is fine

The PSU...I am not familiar with that brand so I will leave that to someone else to comment on, I usually stick to the more well known brands such as seasonic and corsair

I might consider overclocking in the future, how can you tell which case is large enough?

yeah I found it in your original post, it was just hard to see because it wasn't separated from the GPU

Look at the dimensions of the cooler you are looking for versus the dimensions of the case you are looking at. Remember that due to the MOBO, standoffs, and thickness of the doors, the case will need to be wider than the cooler height.

Also will the motherboard come preconfigured, or will you need to install software.

I don't know about that specific MOBO, whether or not it will require a bios update to support FX. Again though if you are thinking you may want to overclock in the future that is not a board to get, that board only has a 4+1 phase count and therefore may not supply the stable overclocks you would be looking for. Here is a link with some info on AMD VRM for different MOBOs. http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-motherboards-vrm-info-database

Ya i might consider the other MOBO, cant find information on the size of the PCU cooler. I've messed around with PC parts, but never built one. thanx

what stores are you shopping at for parts? and that MOBO was just an example, there are other out there that provide more reliable power/stability

The Mobo you suggested wouldnt need an update for FX, so the OS is the only thing that needs to be installed,

Yes you would need to install the OS, and whatever other programs you wanted to install but the MOBO should support FX.

I've never installed an OS on a brand new machine, is it exactly just popping in the disc and selecting the partition and install.

Understanding that not everyone has a fortune to spend on computers, there are still some things you don't want to cheap out on. The motherboard is important, you may be able to run on a cheap one, but will probably regret it in the future. It is also very important that you get a quality PSU that can actually provide the power that it advertises and wont kill the rest of your machine due to being made to poor standards. You may consider dropping down to a Radeon 7870 GPU.

** yeah you just pop the disk in and follow the on screen instructions.

AM3+ Mobos shouldn't need an update, since on the description it states FX supported

That is true most of the time, and should be true today. When FX was first released there were motherboards that claimed to support them but needed bios updates in order to do so.
