Thanks dude if might do some looking around for a the Asus see if I can see what your talking about everyone in this thread told me to get that moboHere's my 2 cents. If you plan on OC'ing and/or upgrading to BD or better yet PD later on avoid the M5A97 series. There are numerous posts on this forum and OCN where people are having issues OC'ing with that motherboard and BD.
Here's a combo to consider

$74.99 w/ free shipping

$39.99 if you use the promo code that their running currently & free shipping. I love the HAF series but at $40 the Ranger has very good reviews and that's an excellent buy.

$119.99 w/ free shipping

$9.99 w/ free shipping. It's just as good if not better than AS5, it's not as thick so it spreads easier, doesn't require "curing" time like AS5 and is non conductive unlike AS5.

$30.00 w/ $4.99 shipping
Total = $279.99
Edit - oops had a calc typo. If you're not going to overclock now you can hold off on the 212 and then you're looking at 244.99 with a better MB that gives you a good foundation to upgrade to PD later on.

Oh is that so why should I over clock anyway? Better multitasking/gaming performance
All depends on the processor. Intel vs AMD gaming performance is WAYYYY overblown. The GPU is far far more important. Basically any 4GHz quad core (which you should be able to do no problem with the 975 I listed) and your GPU will be far more the bottleneck in gaming performance than the CPU. Even the SB i3's with only 2 cores and 4 threads do fine in most games even though it can't be overclocked more than 100MHz or 2. Going from what you have now to a good quad at 4GHz you'll see a difference in multi-tasking and a bump in gaming. Whether or not you get the M5A97 or another I would highly recommend taking a look at the rosewill case and the 975 that I posted (it's the same price as the 965). The rosewill case is very similar in design to the 912 and it shaves $20 off of your total.
