I am wanting to build another system and sell my current one and was wondering what i might be able to sell it for. I built it in November 2011 and i think spent $1250 for everything i want to sell with it. I was going to install buyers choice of Win7 x64 enterprise or Win8 x64 ultimate on it before i give it to them. It did sit in a closet for about a year and hasnt had real heavy use but for maybe a couple months. Got a new refurbished mobo October 2013. wanting a high price normal price and low price but any help will be appreciated.

I think you'd probably get more for it by selling the parts individually... you're severely limiting your audience by selling as one piece.

For pricing, just look up completed, sold listings for each piece on eBay. Add them all up and subtract maybe 10% if you want to sell as one piece. If selling parts individually, average the sold price of 4-5 instances of a part and then subtract ~5% or so to sell quickly.

ok thank you that helps. i know a couple people that may take it as is but if not ill sell the separate parts.

Why sell all of the components that you can reuse in your new build? You'll come out way ahead by keeping things like the case, drives, keyboard, mouse, monitor, PSU (although I'd get a new PSU, actually..), etc.

Sell the core components (mobo, CPU, GPU, maybe RAM), and upgrade them.

im wanting to start all from scratch or i would be doing that. going for a 3, 24" monitor setup and the second 21.5" monitor i have now ill keep for a fourth over top of center. im wanting to do some 5760x1080 gaming, and started thinking some about a new pc altogether, so it started happening. it didnt help that tax returns came in about the same time.
