Woomack / G3258 / 2c / PiFast / 16.80
Woomack / G3258 / 2c / wPrime / 1853.778
Woomack / G3258 / 2c / SuperPi / 930.884
Woomack / G3258 / 2c / GpuPi / 2499.174
Total: 5300.636
Bart you only have to multiply the wprime and the gpupi runs by however many cores you have. its not automatically x4, 3258 should be x2
gpupi = 20 min, 49.587s = 1249.587 x2 = 2499.174
wprime = 926.889s x2 = 1853.778
I found 2.0 slower on the 4770k vs 1.2 as well Dejo.2.0 to 1.2 for me was 40 seconds or so. 2 different computer but similar equipment
How did you get these scores Woomack?
Good run on that pentium too.
@Silver_Pharaoh
I was researching the AMD 955 to refresh my knowledge of it. I haven't OCed it in many years. I read Dolk's and Woomack's memory OCing guide. I also ran across another website ( Could have been OCN or (H) ) that was benching the 955. The FOLLOWING might be AMD only, the Intel guys will have to verify this.
1) I have G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 1866 @ 9-10-9-28 in my gaming rig. I could not get superpi below 17.9x - 18.0x ( I did get it to 16.xx once but forgot to take Pic's )
..A) In reading that post, it said that AMD's IMC's love low tight timings. It also said: With all things being = ... DDR3 1333 @ 6-6-6-15 is the same as DDR3 2666 @ 12-12-12-30
2) I reset my 8370 to (2) core's ( OCed to 5.317) and lowered my DDR3 1866 to DDR3 1600 @ 7-8-7-23 1.7v ( Ram is water cooled )
..A) I ran BDC, set superpi to run on 2nd core only. I got a score of 14.xx
This is just for superpi.... the other bench software prefer RAW Bandwidth over Tight Timings.
That's it for now Going to try and finish setting up my new CV F-Z with the 955 C3 revision with DDR3 2133 @ 9-10-9-24 (Ballistic Elite). To get us some Boint's on HWBot.
PS: DO not take this the wrong way guys. I wish I had Woomack here to help me on the memory side. My 2133's are not water cooled, and I do not wish to fry them
MaddMutt, what it all comes down to is figuring out what the sticks will do with the Cpu and Board it is running in, as well as what the bench likes. A set of sticks will Oc differently depending on the platform they are on. I do not feel, it is that AMD cpu's like tighter timings per se, especially with the Pre Fx chips, as much as they in most cases will not do the big speeds like 2133+. So finding a set of sticks that will run, below for example 2000 Mhz with tight timings is better for them. I have a really good set PSC of benching sticks, G.Skill 2133 7-10-7 1.65 v. They will do 2400 Mhz at 8-12-8 all the way down to 1600 Mhz at 6-6-5, depending on the platform. This is also on ambient cooling and I've never had the sticks above 1.75 V. I have benched my 955 with these sticks onboard above 1800 Mhz with 7-8-7 timings.@Silver_Pharaoh

Thank MaddMutt!
Think I'll see how tight the G.Skills will go today.
Did you mess with the NB frequency at all?
You don't need to conformal the whole board. Most of us either use, clear nail polish or Liquid Electrical Tape. around the socket and to the top of the board, the ram slots and down to the Pci E. I then put erasure around the socket, then make templates of frost king and Armflex self adhering tape to go around the socket to the heatsinks, ram slots and Pci-E.I know this is some month's away. When fall get's here, can I ask one of the Elite ( someone that has used Dice or LN ) to put a conformal coating on the CHV F-Z??? I'll send a money order along with the mobo to pay for the cost
I know this might sound stupid..... But is there a sticky (Thread) on this???
