Publication was delayed to see if the EOC stats would kick in again. Don’t look too closely at the stats this week. When there are points outages like this, the stats get wonky.
Before we get into the heart of this week’s newsletter, please think of our team mates on the Gulf coast of Texas. If you are out that way or have family there, please be safe. Hopefully things won’t be as bad as the potential and that everyone will be healthy and recover quickly.
The number one team in the world will likely change by this time next week from folding@evga to Curecoin. folding@evga will finally be taken down a notch by Curecoin. Both teams offer major incentives for their members to fold. EVGA has been kind enough to offer prizes like graphics cards and such. Curecoin offers a crypto currency to folders. We only offer my undying love and even that is fleeting.
Congratulations to Curecoin for creating a novel idea to entice such large numbers. While I refuse to give up my team, they came up with, got buy-in from Stanford and created a means of reward for those who fold. That said, EVGA’s giveaways do the same thing at the expense of EVGA who decided that F@H is a cause worthy of corporate sponsorship. We all win.
