I had an old IFX-14 that I wanted to re-use but it only came with for Intel a S775 mounting bracket. Doing lots of searching on online nobody new for sure if the ThermalRight VX BTX II bracket would actually work.
So I bought one with the hope it works and I was rewarded with success.
With the new bracket I did "lose" the ability to use the extra heatsink that went under the mobo socket area but I don't think that matters in the grand scheme of things.
The install went smoothly & I am getting much better clamping force on the Mobo compared to the original stock mount.
Also I have a close up pic showing how tight the bracket was to the VRM heatsink on the Asus M6 gene mobo.
