Progress! Can you use the Wi-Fi with no bridge?

What do you mean? Just connect the server to the wifi router and connect to said router via wifi?

If so, then no I can't. I am physically connected to the wifi bridge since my computer has no wifi NIC. I was constantly loosing connection years ago so that's when i made the WiFi bridge. For some reason the wifi signal would drop in my room so the wifi bridge eliminates that issue.
 
So, back to pulling Ethernet through walls...

Now that you mentioned the idea to me, i think i might be able to convince the parents....

I mean we already fished a lan cable for the basement. Hmmmm
 
I ran 12 drops of CAT6a recently, one is quick and easy ;)
Hmm. That new TP-Link router I bought does support Giga internet...
That would really speed up transfers!

I might just go ahead and do it myself.


Currently verifiying all 482Gb of backups.
So far no errors at all.
