Were you explaining that to me? If you read the first page we were comparing results. Of course I already ran the higher voltage on my ram, and whatnot. I got it up to 257fsb memtest stable at 3.56v. Were you really talking to me, lol?felinusz said:No, he means a lower VDIMM voltage .
As an aside, I highly reccomend that you whip out the 5V jumper, and see how far your sticks will go with more voltage. Keep track of how they scale, stop when diminishing returns kick in if you are worried about damage. I would not be concerned with your sticks dying, so long as they are appropriately cooled. From what I've seen, these UTT BH memory ICS are a lot like BH-5 - they can take higher voltages, and often see gains from it.
I wanted to see if my sticks could do 2-2-2-5(6) with stock voltage. That's all, and I ended up trying 2-2-2-6 at the optimized defaults (2.6v) and it looped full memtest at 49 passes before I stopped it (about 24 hours worth).
