What should i get?

ViaAqua Water Pump Model 1300

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produ...&Ntk=All&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Np=1&N=2004

it says it has to be submersed at all times, does it really? and does it work with the 1/2 tubing?

or the mag 3

---------------------------------------------------------
single heater core (for 120mm right?)
http://www.dangerden.com/mall/Radiators/heatercore.asp

or this radiator

http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/ex-rad-07.html

---------------------------------------------------------
I dunno if i have room for the radiator and everything (i do for 80mm radiators but not 120) heres a pic of the inside of my pc

http://img45.imageshack.us/my.php?loc=img45&image=cablesafter.jpg

so since theres no room i could mount it on the outside of the case right?

should i use this?
http://www.swiftnets.com/products/MCB-120.asp#

$25

but wouldnt just any old shroud work?
http://www.svc.com/cw-mini-coolshroud-uvblue.html

id be mounting it onto an 80mm case fan slot so dunno if it would work. (btw wouldnt the case fan that the shroud/housing radiator goes over be useless since the fan is exhaust and its blocked by the housing and the 120mm fan and radiator?)
-----------------------------------------------------------
should i get this water block?
http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/ex-blc-90.html
-------------------------------------------------------------
reservoir
5.25 inch bay ones
http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/ex-res-36.html

or the round ones
http://www.xoxide.com/waterreservoir.html

or should i just get a t line? i dont really understand them, does the t line tube (part where you fill the water in) get connected to the pump or somethin?
---------------------------------------------------------------------

can i get a link to the core?

o btw since im getting this thing (maybe) to mount my heater core on the outside of the case

http://www.swiftnets.com/products/MCB-120.asp#

how would i screw the heatercore onto the 120mm fan? i dont see any holes in the pic

heater_core_large.gif

o i would have that one pci card with the barbs (thats in the swiftech thing) around the bottom of my case so then the tube connected to the cpu water block will have to go around the vid card, so would it be better to get a vga block and chipset block?

so itll look like this

well i just remembered that im getting a rheobus so i can still take the slot so i dont really need the 5.25 bay res anymore

but imo itll look funny with just one rheobus (my drives are stealthed heh)

Mag3, Fedco 2-342 heater core, T-Line, Duct-tape shroud, 10ft 1/2" Clearflex60, and Swiftech 6002

Mind reader! The rig I am building to a t, except it will have 2 of the 2-342
in the loop.

with the heatercore i linked would i have to do any modding to mount it/make it work? because i dont see any holes for how i mount a fan on it?

also if i get a dual 80 mm radiators i can put em inside of my case, instead of having to mount the 120 one outside. I think it would be awsome to mount 2 80mm radiators where my 2 case fans are but someone said theres no room

i could mount the radiators on top of the fans and then put another fan ontop of the radiator, what you think?

Typically, you can get a 4-40 screw about 2.5 inches long if you can find them. It will go between the water jackets of the core if you push gently. You can hold a core up to the light and see through it, so that is your clue where to put the small screw. Someone was selling what looked like a thin cable tie, and it had one end like a button, the other end had the notches like a cable tie. Then you had another button that just slid up on it and sinchced it down tight. Cant remember where I saw it at.

Dont know what case you have, so I cant answer that. If you work real hard you can get a dual 120 core in a mid tower case in the front, but you lose your 3.5 drive bays. You could always go to the top of the case, and mount the core up there. You would be better off performance wise and money wise to go with a dual 120 core up top than you would to run 2 single 80mm setups.

but the 2 single 80mm radiators on the 2 case fans i have would look really nice, i saw it in a pic but thatll cost about 90 for both of em

heres my case

http://img45.imageshack.us/my.php?loc=img45&image=cablesafter.jpg

its a raidmax scorpio 868

o and if i get a t line, this is how i would arrange my tubing

http://img31.imageshack.us/my.php?loc=img31&image=watercoolinpicwithtubing.jpg

do i need a vga and chipset block? i think it would look nicer if i got them so i dont have a big long tube stretching from the cpu block all the way down to the pci bracket thing that comes in the radbox kit thing

o i found the pic with the 2 80mm? (dunno but its 2 radiators)

000_0102.jpg

it looks really nice imo, but id have to mount the radiator on top of my 80mm fans then put another fan onto of it otherwise itll hit my vga slot

which is my wild idea? mounting the rads on my fans? or the t line?

T-lines are good, I use them. Mounting the rad can be a challenge. See how others have done it then decide if you can learn from their setup. You will not get all of the answers you need by asking alot of general questions. You still need to read and research. One of the answers was to use a 2-342 Fedco heatercore. Do a search to learn why it's a great rad but most cases will require serious mods to use one.

All you need to do is hack-saw some of the tubing off and make a shroud(duct tape works fine)... Not hard.

If you put your HDD's up top and remove the lower drive cage, the 2-342 may fit in the bottem of your case. All you need is a drill...

i cant get the drive cage out, i need my floppy drive

could i fit the radiator under my vid card so i dont have to buy the rad box thing?

wait its like 6 inches by 7 inches by 2 inches, i dont think itll fit in side my case since my case is barely 7.5 inches wide and i have stuff at the bottom

the only thing i can think of is to mount it outside, get 2 single 80mm radiators and put them on my back case fans, or get a dual and stick it inbetween my 3.5 inch drive cage actually it Could possibly fit under my vid card

A 2-342 wouldn't fit in the lower front, but a chevette heatercore would with the lower drive cage removed. IMO (and experience) the lower front cage would have to go for an inside mount. Something like this

wc_side1.JPG

except the elbow at the pump inlet is not good. Floppy and 3.5 HDDs can be mounted in 5.25 bays; both a floppy and HDD are "high mounted" in the picture. That's a T-line setup if you've never seen one.

ya i know what the t lines are now

i need to buy some hard drive mounts if i wanna mount one in the 5.25 bays.

i could keep 2 3.5 bays , actually 3 and i guess i could dremel the bottom half and the dd heatercore would fit wouldnt it? (the single one)

i dunno it would be alot easier to mount it outside but it would look nicer inside imo
